Matthew started at Hume Taylor & Co in 2017, shortly after graduating and being admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia. He brings with his extensive clerking experience across multiple firms around Adelaide, giving him the skills to adapt, be versatile in his practice, and relate to all of his clients.
He set his heart on being a lawyer back when he was in high school; his goal was to ensure that everyone had access to justice and was treated fairly under the law.

He thoroughly enjoys advocacy work and regularly appears in the Magistrates Court and District Court on his clients’ behalf in both the criminal and civil jurisdictions. Matthew is proud of his superb organisation skills, and providing a human approach to any legal matter. While completing his qualifications Matthew also had the opportunity to study in both China and the Netherlands.
Matthew is currently a member of the Aboriginal Issues Committee and the Young Lawyers Committee of the Law Society of South Australia. While they keep him busy, he will always make time for his clients.
Since moving to Whyalla in 2017 he has enjoyed the connection with the local community, and is a keen member of the Whyalla Tennis Association. From what we hear, he has quite the backhand!
